Nuura, six years, from Aleppo, 2017 in Düsseldorf

They have experienced what we are afraid of

They? Children from the crises of the Middle East, Afghanistan and Mongolia. They all need support and are left to their own devices. How so?

Community accommodation for refugees does not have to meet the requirements of the law (§45 SGB VIII) for the operation of an institution in which children and young people are cared for (§44 and 53 AsylG). The spatial and personnel requirements for the support of integration as well as the safeguarding of the rights of children do not have to exist. Pilot projects initiated by the Kinderstern are committed to these children. The Kinderstern stands for the rights of the children.
